About Our Club

About Us

From our humble beginnings as a touch football club for students of the University of New South Wales, the UNSW South Sydney Rabbitohs Touch Football Club has evolved into a family club servicing the South Eastern Sydney community. We are proud to be uniquely positioned as one of the few touch football clubs in the country to be associated with two of Australia’s most recognisable brands.

The UNSW South Sydney Rabbitohs Touch Football Club provides opportunities for all ages and abilities, from our junior and adult social competitions to our junior and senior representative programs.

Our Values

We pride ourselves on our club being a family. Many of our players joined the club through participating in university games and have continued to play at a representative level for a number of years. We welcome and embrace players of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience with open arms.

Our representative teams balance hard work and training with fun, teamwork and club focused social and bonding events which have resulted in success. We strongly encourage supporting all of our teams, with our players attending games early and staying late to watch other teams in the club each week.

Club Rules

1. Represent with Pride: Wear the club colours with pride and dignity, recognising that you are ambassadors for our club both on and off the touch field. Expectation is that all players, coaches and those involved are punctual and in their respective kits for all sessions; including training and games.

2. Respect the Game: Honour the spirit of touch football by playing with integrity, sportsmanship, and fair play at all times. Graciously accept victories and defeats, and treat opponents, officials, and spectators with respect. Treat others how you would expect to be treated.

3. Support your Teammates: Encourage and uplift your teammates, both on and off the field, promoting a positive team environment.  Prioritise the team's success over individual glory, fostering a culture of unity and collective achievement. Offer unwavering support to teammates, through encouragement, empathy, and camaraderie.

4. Strive for Excellence: Commit to continuous improvement, pushing boundaries, and aiming for the highest standards of performance in training and competition both individually and as a team. Pursue excellence in all aspects of the game, setting high standards for performance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

5. Lead by Example: Demonstrate leadership through actions, discipline, determination, and a positive attitude that inspires others to follow suit.

6. Embrace Diversity: Embrace diversity within the club, respecting differences in backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives, and creating an inclusive environment for all.

7. Contribute to Community: Give back to the community through volunteering, outreach, and charitable initiatives, embodying the club's commitment to social responsibility.

8. Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and honest communication with coaches, teammates, and officials to ensure clarity and unity.

9. Play with Passion: Bring enthusiasm, energy, and determination to every training session and game, showcasing your love for the sport and inspiring others to do the same.

10. Above All Else, Enjoy the Journey: Cherish the experiences, friendships, and memories created through representing the club, and remember to enjoy the journey of striving for excellence together.
